These visas are essential for professionals and workers seeking to enhance their careers in the UK while contributing to the local economy.

The UK Ancestry Visa is designed for Commonwealth citizens with ancestral ties to the UK, enabling them to work and live in the UK.

  • Eligibility: Applicants must be Commonwealth citizens aged 17 or over, with a grandparent born in the UK, Channel Islands, or Isle of Man. Applicants must also prove they can work and support themselves without public funds.
  • Application Process: Complete the application online, submitting necessary evidence of ancestry, financial means, and a valid passport. It's important to provide comprehensive documentation to support your claim.
  • Outcome: Successful applicants receive a visa valid for five years and can apply for indefinite leave to remain after residing in the UK for five years.

Frontier Worker Permit

The Frontier Worker Permit is available to EU, EEA, or Swiss citizens who work in the UK but reside elsewhere.

  • Eligibility: Applicants must have started working in the UK before 1 January 2021 and continue to reside outside the UK. Proof of ongoing employment or self-employment in the UK is required.
  • Application Process: Applications are submitted online, with evidence of employment history and residence status. Ensure all information is accurate and supported by documentation.
  • Outcome: The permit allows individuals to enter the UK for work without the need for a full work visa, providing flexibility to maintain their residence in another country.

The Hong Kong BN(O) Visa provides a pathway for British National (Overseas) citizens from Hong Kong to live, work, and study in the UK.

  • Eligibility: Applicants must hold BN(O) status, reside in Hong Kong or the UK, and be able to support themselves financially. Family members can also apply if they meet certain criteria.
  • Application Process: Applications are made online, requiring proof of BN(O) status, financial means, and accommodation arrangements in the UK. Supporting documentation must be comprehensive and up-to-date.
  • Outcome: The visa is granted for five years, with the possibility of applying for settlement and citizenship after meeting residency requirements.

Overseas Domestic Worker Visa

The Overseas Domestic Worker Visa allows individuals to accompany their employer to the UK, provided they meet specific criteria.

  • Eligibility: Applicants must have been employed by their employer for at least one year prior to applying and intend to work as a domestic worker in the UK. They must also demonstrate their ability to support themselves financially.
  • Application Process: Complete the visa application online, including a contract of employment, proof of employment history, and evidence of financial support. Ensure all documents are submitted accurately and comprehensively.
  • Outcome: The visa allows individuals to stay in the UK for up to six months while working for their employer, offering an opportunity to experience life in the UK within a structured framework.
